Three children were bitten by the monkeys in South Malaka locality. The forest department and the Allahabad Municipal Corporation are playing the blame game that catching monkeys is not within their purview and the people, particularly the children and the women continue to suffer.
The problem of monkeys has arisen as their natural habitats are disappearing due to the increasing number of human settlements at the places which were earlier the abodes of animals.
The three children were playing when the monkeys appeared and attacked them. The injured children are identified as Rohit Jaiswal, Anshu Kanaujia and Rahul Kanaujia. A child got severe wounds on the face. Luckily his eyes are safe.
